June 4th, 2010 will see the new 1st SEA HOG Rally 2010.. Many old riders may ask, 1st SEA HOG?. There has already been about 5 SEA HOG Rallies so why call this The 1st SEA HOG Rally?. The previous SEA HOG Rallies were only in name and were solely organised by Malaysia Chapter albeit they were strongly participated by other HOG Chapters from the South East Asian Region and elsewhere around the globe.

With the keen interest expressed by HOG International and The Harley Motor Company, the wheels were put into motion in early 2008 to have a SEA HOG Rally jointly organised by the 5 HOG Chapters from the South East Asia Region, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. So, in the true spirit of the Harley Brotherhood and to even better enhance the already strong ties between the various SEA HOG Chapters, the joint committee, decided to name this historic rally, The 1st SEA HOG Rally 2010 which truly embodies the Harley Spirit in its name.

The dates for the rally have been fixed for the 4th June to the 11th June. The chosen starting point shall be Singapore. Riders will converge on this Island City on the 4th and a Grand Welcome/Kick-off dinner will be hosted for the participants by Harley Davidson Singapore. Dinner will be an al fresco affair under the stars and within sight of the Singapore Flyer and also The Singapore F1 track. After dinner, a grand convoy ride thru the City has been arranged.

The Journey

The convoy shall push-off and via Tuas cross into Malaysia on the 5th and up the North-South Highway, head towards Kuala Lumpur. Lunch break at Air Keroh and ETA Harley Davidson Kuala Lumpur showroom at 2.00pm. The dealership has laid out the red carpet for the participants with a special welcome event. The workshops will be fully manned to check on the bikes if need be. Take this opportunity to shop for the latest Harley merchandise at the showroom. A High-Tea will be hosted by the dealership for the participants and guests.

Check into The Concorde KL and a welcome dinner courtesy of Tourism Malaysia at Saloma's and then off to a street party along Jalan P. Ramly to relax, renew old friendships and make new acquaintances.

Morning of the 6th, after breakfast, a ride to Putrajaya to experience Malaysia's Administrative City's beautiful architecture and landscapes. From Putrajaya, we will ride to Pulau Carey, famous for its seafood delights for lunch. After lunch, back to the Concorde and to dinner hosted by Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. (KL City Hall).

After dinner, a grand night parade through the streets of Kuala Lumpur to savour the night sights the City has to offer.

Early on the 7th, we shall convoy up to the Thai-Malaysian border, stopping for lunch at Juru Auto City. Speedy customs and immigration through specially arranged "Green Lanes" and we will motor into Hatyai for night stop. A dinner, hosted by our sponsors
and another street party is on the cards here.

On the 8th, we will depart Hatyai and proceed to Krabi. The ride will take us through picturesque countryside and ably marshalled by our Thai brothers. The Ao Nang Villa has been chosen as our official hotel in Krabi.

Over the 8th till the 11th, many ride events around Krabi's scenic outskirts, from mountainous karsts to clean pristine beaches are planned. Our traditional HOG games will have some very "special guests" joining us and as usual, a day of great fun and games are to be had by all.

Dinners will be hosted by The Dealerships of Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand and some local authorities. Enjoy Krabi as never been seen before. A free day is provided for those adventurous to do some extreme sports and also for those who just want to laze by the pool or work on their tans on the clean ,white beaches of Ao Nang Villa. The night life in Krabi is also vibrant and exciting.

On the 11th, we will have our farewell dinner and on the 12th, we will make our way home via Hatyai and KL.

Join us and be part of this historic event. Be there and make new friends. We expect new HOG members from China Chapters, Taiwan, S. Korea to join us.

Be there or be square.
